Imagine if everyone had a clear understanding of their own productivity and efficiency. Do you think it could have an impact? In a recent chat with a colleague and friend, we talked about the possibility of everyone tracking their time. But perhaps this will introduce a higher degree of accountability, resourcefulness, and responsibility. Was it a lack of awareness? Did they hire for hiring sake? Were they not resourceful enough? Layoffs are awful, and it's unfortunate that companies put themselves in this position. With layoffs in the news seemingly every day, I am reflecting on how companies got to the point of dismissing so many humans. It can reveal inefficiencies and help us make better decisions about how we work. Tracking time can help us understand how we allocate our time and to what. And I wanted my staff to have a similar experience. As a consultant, I know the impact of effective time management on business success. It's about self-awareness and accountability.
